Do you want to be part of the next generation’s leaders? This course is for you!
From the 7th to the 11th of September I’m bringing back my Young Leadership Programme.
Successful applicants will undergo an exciting week filled with trips, talks and workshops on topics ranging from politics, media and local leadership. You will meet with journalists, MPs, councillors, and local champions both here and in my office in Parliament. You will gain hands on experience of working in politics, learn how politics works in our new media age, and get plenty of opportunities to ask questions to an array of experts and leaders their field.
Who can apply?
Any young person aged between 18-24 at the time of the course who lives or is in an educational setting in my constituency can apply. You don’t need to be an expert in politics, media or policymaking – all I want to see is a passion for helping our community.
When is the deadline?
Applications will be accepted up until the 10th of July.
Do I need to pay?
You only need to pay for your travel from your home to my office and for the trip into the city centre to Town Hall – no more than the £2 bus journey on the Bee Network. You will not need to pay for travel down to London.
